Spell Casting with Cerridwen Fallingstar

MAY 7TH, 2020 | 53:49 | E7

EPISODE SUMMARY

No conversation about reclaiming the Sacred Feminine is complete without also reclaiming the much maligned word “witch.” So-called holy men once burned them, and today you’re still likely to see outdated caricatures of old women with green faces, nose warts and loud cackles riding their brooms on a moonlit night. But as my guest on this episode, Cerridwen Fallingstar, wisely points out, most of what we learn from popular culture simply isn’t true. Cerridwen is a shamanic witch who has taught classes in magic and ritual for more than thirty years. She’s also the author of the new memoir Broth from the Cauldron: A Wisdom Journey of Everyday Magic. And while we don’t really cast spells, we do have a lively discussion about what it really means to be a witch, the true meaning of magic, and what modern Paganism can offer us today.
